Inside Peek Into – A Diary Of Time

When I wrote A Diary of Time, I was going through the worse break-up ever… DIVORCE. It’s an ugly monster, but in life you have to receive the LESSON and move on. Once I forgave my ex-husband for everything he had put me through, it was easy to see the lesson. I thank God for getting me out of a very bad situation and trying time in my life. Too often are people living in regret and shame, rather than embracing their past and thanking God for bringing them out of that situation.
To me, A Diary of Time is priceless. This book is about forgiveness. And what inspired me to write the book is forgiveness. It was a personal battle for me in the past. If a person hurt me I couldn’t let it go and I would harbor anger, resentment and wonder why I never felt joy. It wasn’t until Christ came into my life that I understood love and forgiveness. God wants us all to forgive and since he has forgiven me and my shortcomings; sins…who am I not to forgive others. Besides, all of the pain, hurt, and anguish was all to mold and build me into the woman you see before you today. I think it’s easy for human kind to say we believe in God, but it’s difficult to do those hard things like FORGIVE. This is truly one of the most difficult things to do, but the only way to truly be released from your past. There are no shortcuts and if you truly believe in God, then you will do what he says… FORGIVE others and FORGIVE yourself.
Another message that I am trying to convey in most, if not all of my books is to hold on to faith & hope. You must believe you can and you will. I am speaking from personal experience.
One of my favorite pieces in A Diary of Time is of a more mature approach to my poetic prose. I enjoy the poem “Moments” where I say,
“I sat next to myself yesterday
And noticed the recent age of my face…”
I love this out of body experience and approach that I took in this piece while becoming aware of myself. I believe that women who have gone through pain of divorce or loss of a long-term relationship will relate to the poetry and prose written in this book. I also feel that everyone reading the book will find a sense of connection with many of the poems.
I am truly grateful to the readers of my books and to the fans of my work. I write for you. I write to uplift you, teach you and hopefully inspire you to break from the darkness and to be true to yourself in the light. Thank you for your support and appreciation of my work.
